Roscoe manufacturer in need of an Experienced OD Grinder for immediate placement on 2nd Shift.
This is a full-time contract to hire position offering excellent opportunity for permanent hire.
Anticipated Hours: 5:30pm-4am
Sets up and operates external grinding machines to grind external cylindrical and tapered surfaces of rotating metal workpieces, for example tool, die, and machine parts, usually for limited runs, analyzing blueprints and specifications and selecting tooling according to knowledge of internal grinding procedures
•Verifies dimensions of ground workpiece for conformance to specifications, using such measuring instruments as micrometers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks.
•May also be required to have experience with particular material, product, or precision level, or with machine of particular type or trade name.
Minimum of a high school diploma or GED
Minimum of two (2) years experience in manufacturing environment.
Previous experience with CNC machines including grinders and lathes preferred
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Must be dependable.
Must have a good attendance record and be willing to learn.
Basic computer skills.
Valid forklift license.
Background/Drug Screen/EVerify required
HOURLY RATE: $16-20.00 based on experience
